Environment and History is an interdisciplinary journal which aims to bring scholars in the humanities and natural sciences closer together, with the deliberate intention of constructing long and well-founded perspectives on present day environmental problems. A regular feature of the journal is a section on current activities in environmental history, including the ‘Notepad’ of the European Society for Environmental History.
We aspire to extend beyond the canonical environmental history echo-chamber through our Snapshots section, which encourages submissions from early career researchers and those in cognate disciplines, even outside academia entirely.
